CRIMINAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE

CHAIR - BILLY JOE JORDON

The goal of the NAACP Criminal Justice Committee is to advocate for a better public safety system that reduces the reliance on prisons as means of solving social problems, advances effective law enforcement, and removes barriers to voting and employment for formerly incarcerated people. The PITTSBURGH Branch Criminal Justice Committee works to build stronger families and communities. Our Criminal Justice efforts include community advocacy, direct action, letter-writing campaigns, phone banking, panel discussions, and workshops to engage the community in building a better criminal justice system
